| Children under age 13 are not permitted to submit personal information or pictures to this web site. For all others, these guidelines are provided for your convenience: |
 |
Advice: The subject matter should be of interest to dogs or dog lovers and the language should be suitable for dogs and people of all ages. The subject does not have to be one of the recommended subjects-feel free to be creative and speak up! |
Jokes: The subject matter should be of interest to dogs or dog lovers but can include other animals or people. The language should be suitable for dogs and people of all ages. |
Pictures: Each picture should include one or more dogs but can include other animals or people. Please include a description of what the picture contains, who is in it and the breed of each animal. Pictures may be photos, drawings or computer graphics. Pictures should be suitable for viewing by dogs and people of all ages. |
| The acceptable file formats are JPEG (.jpg), GIF (.gif), Adobe PhotoShop (.psd), Windows Bitmap (.bmp), Tagged Image File Format (.tif), FlashPix (.fpx), Portable Network Graphics (.png), Kodak Photo CD (.pcd), PC PaintBrush (.pcx) and Targa (.tga). If you have a choice then JPEG is preferred. Picture files that are not already compressed (like JPEG and GIF) should be zipped for faster transmission, and you may include more that one picture in a zip file. Please make sure the picture format is clearly identified in the file name. Pictures may be any size and will be cropped and resized, if necessary, to fit on the page and improve download time. If your picture is reduced, the pictures page has a feature where visitors can click on a picture to view the full image on a seperate page. |
Letters: The subject matter should be of interest to dogs or dog lovers or be questions or comments to me or suggestions for improving this web site. The language should be suitable for dogs and people of all ages. |
All Items: Be sure to describe what you are sending in the subject of your e-mail! Allowing you to send items directly to my e-mail address has opened up my mail box to a huge amount of spam. The only way I can dig through it is by filtering out the junk and sometimes that filters out legitimate messages. Never leave the subject line blank and, if possible, include the word "dog" so that I will see it.
Sorry, but copyrighted materials from commercial sources, like books, magazines, newspapers or commercial web sites, that are subject to publication restrictions cannot be accepted. |
| Materials from non-commercial sources and web sites are acceptable if the item belongs to you or if you have permission from the owner. For example, you can send pictures or text that you own and use on your web site but you cannot send pictures or text from someone else's web site unless you provide their contact information and I am able to verify that they have given you and me permission to post the material. |
