What picture file formats are acceptable? The preferred format is JPEG (.jpg). If you cannot send pictures in that format then I can convert your file to JPEG from GIF (.gif), Adobe PhotoShop (.psd), Windows Bitmap (.bmp), Tagged Image File Format (.tif), FlashPix (.fpx), Portable Network Graphics (.png), Kodak Photo CD (.pcd), PC PaintBrush (.pcx) or Targa (.tga) formats. Picture files that are not compressed (like BMP) should be zipped for faster transmission. Please make sure that the picture format is clearly identified if not already in the file name. |
Should I send pictures in a zip file? That depends on the file format. Picture file formats that are already compressed (like JPEG and GIF) will not benefit from being zipped. The file size for formats that are not compressed (like BMP) will be greatly reduced by compressing them into a zip file, and you may include more than one photo is a zip file. Please be sure to send the description that you want published for each photo if you send more than one. |
Can I send more than one picture? Of course! Just be sure to send a description for each and clearly identify which description goes with each picture. |
Should I make my picture a particular size? No, but if your picture is larger than the space that is available then I will reduce it to fit. |
